Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

This policy explains what information Bumpster Pull collects, why, who it is shared with and the choices you have. It applies alongside our Terms of Service. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email, phone, company name, role and password (stored hashed).
  • Authority records: USDOT and MC numbers and the federal registration, authority, insurance and safety records returned for them.
  • Insurance documents: certificates of insurance, policy numbers, limits and expiration dates.
  • Identity and tax: identity-check results and tax ID/W-9 details, handled by our verification and payment providers.
  • Driver information: driver names, contact details, license class and expiration, and eligibility status.
  • Equipment: truck and trailer details such as VIN, hitch and ball ratings, and tow capacity.
  • Loads and payments: load details, rates, rate confirmations, escrow and payout history. Card and bank numbers are collected by Stripe; we only receive limited references (such as last four digits).
  • Proof of delivery: pickup and delivery photos, receiver names and signatures, time stamps and delivery location.
  • Location and trips: addresses and routes you plan, and your device location when you allow it for navigation or stop finding.
  • Voice assistant: the questions you speak or type, used only to answer them.
  • Technical data: device, browser, IP address and error logs used for security and abuse prevention.

2. How we use it

  • To run your account, post and match loads, and dispatch drivers.
  • To verify carriers and drivers and keep checking that authority and insurance stay active.
  • To hold, release and pay out funds, and to resolve disputes using POD photos and signatures.
  • To provide routes, weather, safe stops and assistant answers.
  • To prevent fraud, secure the Platform and meet legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We share only what is needed:

  • The other side of a load: shippers see the assigned carrier, driver and POD for their loads; carriers and drivers see the pickup and delivery details for loads they accept.
  • Service providers: Stripe (payments, payouts, identity and tax checks), FMCSA and other government sources (authority and insurance checks), Google (maps, routes and weather), and our hosting, storage and AI providers.
  • Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect people, property or the Platform.

Public verification badges show only company-level status, never your documents.

4. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited by account, so users can only see records tied to their own loads, company or drivers. Documents and POD photos are kept in private storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you of a breach affecting your information as required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account is open. Load, payment, rate confirmation, signature and POD records are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting, insurance and dispute purposes (generally up to 7 years), then deleted or anonymized. Assistant questions are not kept as a history.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Update your profile and company details from your Account page.
  • Turn off location access in your device settings at any time.
  • Request a copy, correction or deletion of your information by emailing us. Some records must be kept for legal or payment reasons.
  • California and other state residents may have additional rights, which we honor on request.

7. Children

The Platform is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes and contact

We will post changes here with a new date. Privacy questions or requests: privacy@bumpsterpull.com
